On the flight back she wrote down everything the app did not do, in a notebook, from memory, one line at a time.
It did not handle weekly menu rotation. It did not remind you to soak the dal. It did not split a bulk order across two suppliers. It did not know that on Sundays the demand drops, or that monsoon months cut the vegetable supply. It did not understand that a kitchen is a rhythm, not a list.
She stared at the page. Kabir's forecasting engine was good, but it saw the kitchen as numbers. Sunanda saw it as a day with weather in it.
By the time the wheels touched down she had a different product in her head. Not a planner. A kind of calm. A system that took the small decisions off a tired person's shoulders and gave them back as notes: Soak rajma tonight. Order paneer by noon.
On the bus home, a man was eating from a tiffin carrier. She did not feel like laughing this time. She felt like saying thank you.
